Yeth Horn

This strangely shaped device is a musical instrument concocted of twisted tubes and miniature bellows. When sounded properly with a DC 15 Perform (wind instruments) check, it replicates a yeth hound’s bay. All creatures except evil outsiders within a 60-foot spread must succeed on a DC 16 Will save or become panicked for 2d6 rounds. This is a sonic, mind-affecting fear effect. Whether or not the save is successful, an affected creature cannot be affected by the same yeth horn’s sound for 24 hours.

Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, fear, creator must have 5 ranks in Perform (wind instruments).

Cost to Create: 5,000 gp, 400 XP, 10 days.
