Upon command, a frost weapon is sheathed in icy cold. The cold does not harm the wielder. The effect remains until another command is given. A frost weapon deals an extra 1d6 points of cold damage on a successful hit.

Bows, crossbows, and slings so crafted bestow the cold energy upon their ammunition.

Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, chill metal or ice storm.

Icy Burst [Property, Synergy]

Activation: Standard (command); see text

Synergy Prerequisite: Frost

An icy burst weapon functions as a frost weapon.

In addition, the weapon automatically explodes with frost upon a successful critical hit, dealing extra frost damage as set out on the table below. This frost does not harm you or any creature other than the target. This is a continuous effect and requires no activation. Even if the weapon has not been activated to deal the extra 1d6 points of frost damage that comes from the flaming property, the weapon still deals its extra frost damage on a successful critical hit.
