Dread Necromancer Spells

The original spell list for this class {HH 87} had…errors. Death ward was listed as both a 3rd and 4th level spell, for one. This has been removed from the 3rd level list and dispel magic has been moved from the 4th level list to the 3rd level list to balance the two lists more and to align those spells with the levels they are for other classes. Changed greater harm and mass harm entries to say “1d12 points/level” instead of 12 points/level to match each spell’s descriptive text, which has precedent.

1st-Level Dread Necromancer Spells

Bestow WoundM: Transfer 1 hp/level of wounds to another. {HH}

Chill Touch: One touch/level deals 1d6 damage and possibly 1 Str damage. {PH}

Detect Magic: Detects spells and magic items within 60 ft. {PH}

Detect Undead: Reveals undead within 60 ft. {PH}

Doom: One subject takes –2 on attack rolls, damage rolls, saves, and checks. {PH}

Hide from Undead: Undead can’t perceive one subject/level. {PH}

Inflict Light Wounds: Touch deals 1d8 damage +1/level (max +5). {PH}

Ray of Enfeeblement: Ray deals 1d6 +1 per two levels Str damage. {PH}

Summon Undead I: Summons undead to fight for you. {SC}

Undetectable Alignment: Conceals alignment for 24 hours. {PH}

Gentle Repose: Preserves one corpse. {PH}

Ghoul Touch: Paralyzes one subject, which exudes stench that makes those nearby sickened. {PH}

Inflict Moderate Wounds: Touch attack, 2d8 damage +1/level (max +10). {PH}

Scare: Panics creatures of less than 6 HD. {PH}

Spectral Hand: Creates disembodied glowing hand to deliver touch attacks. {PH}

Summon Swarm: Summons swarm of bats, rats, or spiders. {PH}

Summon Undead II: Summons undead to fight for you. {SC}

Giant Vermin: Turns centipedes, scorpions, or spiders into giant vermin. {PH}

Inflict Critical Wounds: Touch attack, 4d8 damage +1/level (max +20). {PH}

Phantasmal Killer: Fearsome illusion kills subject or deals 3d6 damage. {PH}

Poison: Touch deals 1d10 Con damage, repeats in 1 minute {PH}

Magic JarF: Enables possession of another creature. {PH}

Nightmare: Sends vision dealing 1d10 damage, fatigue. {PH}

Oath of Blood: Extends a geas beyond death that compels the target to animate and continue her quest as undead. {HH}

Planar Binding, Lesser: Traps extraplanar creature of 6 HD or less until it performs a task. {PH}

Slay Living: Touch attack kills subject. {PH}
